What to expect from BHRT
When we restore and balance your levels of estrogen, progesterone and testosterone you will often find that the balance has resolved most symptoms of hormonal imbalance, including:
- Hot flashes (sudden, brief sensations of heat caused by temporary dilation of the skin’s blood vessels)
- Night sweats (excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) during sleep, and sometimes while awake)
- Mental fogginess (confusion, decreased clarity of thought, and forgetfulness)
- Breast tenderness (unusual sensitivity to touch or pressure)
- Bloating (feeling of fullness or swelling of the abdomen)
- Vaginal dryness (loss of lubrication of the vagina when the mucous membrane deteriorates)
- Low libido (reduced sexual drive or lack of interest in sexual relations)
Your individual results will vary, of course. Results are based on a number of very personal factors from genetics, to lifestyle, other conditions you may have, and how soon treatment is begun after noticing and diagnosing your hormonal imbalances. We have noticed that our patients who start treatment with very low hormone levels have a tendency to see more dramatic results than those starting with higher levels.
