Women’s Health - BHRT

At OptiGenics, we focus exclusively on bioidentical (natural) hormone replacement therapy (BHRT). Our approach to BHRT is what we call “Precision Medicine.” Each of our patients deserves customized treatment. Each patient receives a comprehensive evaluation, an individually-tailored treatment regimen, and ongoing adjustment of that treatment to optimize its effect.  We don’t use chemically altered hormones. Nor do we subscribe to those “one size fits all” hormonal imbalance programs followed by most physicians.  Every patient is unique and each body responds differently, even to the same dosage.  Our philosophy is that the path to the best hormonal health means balancing bioidentical hormone replacement and anti-oxidant therapy with proper nutrition and exercise.

The differences between the way we approach HRT and the traditional approach include:

1. We only use bioidentical hormones, the natural ones your body made for years and unfortunately, can no longer make enough for your current needs.
2. We pool three bioidentical hormones (estradiol, progesterone & testosterone) into one transdermal cream that mimics your natural physiology.
3. We evaluate each individual patient exhaustively. Our assessment process, including blood tests, physical exams, and complete medical histories is much more comprehensive than simply relying on saliva tests or symptoms alone.
4. We make time to inform you about the risks and benefits of hormone replacement, giving you detailed information relating to your particular medical/family history and lifestyle.  During the initial consultation, our patients spend an average of 1 hour face-to-face with their physician.
5. We monitor blood levels and symptoms continuously, to ensure that the optimal amount of hormones is being absorbed by your unique metabolism.
6. We work with you monthly to bi-monthly until your regimen is steady. Then we adjust doses as your needs change with age.
7. We replace all hormones showing decreased production due to age because in the long term, all are important to your health.
8. We monitor your complete, personal hormonal system, not just estrogen levels.  We also consider and make HRT adjustments based on how hormones affect one another in your body.
9. All hormones for your specific treatment are delivered monthly from MedQuest Pharmacy to your door.
